I Want Crazy.
Erm. So, I think you all should listen to this Hunter Hayes song while you read this post:
Basically, he's describing my life right now (and 46 other people's according to YouTube). We are down to 22 days!!! I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! Just one second ago I was getting in the car to visit Colorado and now I am heading to Idaho. My teacher said I'm in the "white-knuckle" phase of life where I am just holding on. It's true. But I love my life right now.
My grandmother, sisters, and good friends threw me a bridal shower! It was so cute and I absolutely loved being able to visit with several people I have not seen in too long. We played many embarrassing games that made me realize I do not quite know Kyle as well as I thought (that or he was just making up answers!)
We played a game where we were blind folded and we had to put on beach clothes. Grandma kicked our butts!! Never thought I'd see her in a bikini.
There were so many great people there, thank you everyone!!
I got a surprise visit from some of my favorite girls:
I am a nanny in the summer and these are some of the kids I watch. They are getting so grown up! It seriously melted my heart being able to see them. I can't wait to spend time with them this summer!!
Sydney is so cute! She made these mugs, and they are adorable and will be used forever and ever the end.
Okay so, for the most part this was a pretty mild bridal shower. My mom's friend *won't name any names* gave me a card that said "I got you a "kitchen aid" to help you out." She then gave me this Zac Efron man (mmm-mmm) made entirely out of household items.
But wait! There was a little surprise under that apron of his:
Te he. I think my mom peed her pants a little because she was laughing so hard. For those of you who are concerned, that is a dish scrub brush and two wire scrub balls. I'd like to just say- that's the work of a genius.
I'm sorry to say I do not have any pictures from the next few days. Kyle and I attended his cousin's wedding and we went to Kailey's graduation party. We were so tired by the time we got home that night that Kyle and I feel asleep on the couch in the middle of a conversation with everyone.
Oh but I did get this precious photo, baby Anna loves her uncle Kyle:
Sunday was a little less hectic. I got to meet a lot of Kyle's family at a birthday party/BBQ. They are all such nice people and I look forward to seeing many of them at our wedding! That evening we drove out to the sticks (no but really, we were in the boonies) for some redneck fun. Let's just say there was a lot of testosterone floating around. All the boys brought their weapons- guns, throwing knives, a golf ball launcher, tannerite, etc. And had a good time blowing thing up and shooting large holes in a plank of wood.
Okay but seriously, it's my mom the cutest?
Me and my mommas!
Kyle: "Trevor is on the path to becoming a tool."
So, this is a very powerful hunting gun + tannerite =
Yeah. Those are flames.
This is Kyle's gun he got for his birthday. That thing has a very powerful kick- I almost lost my hand!!
Yes, multiple explosions occurred
The after effects of the golf-ball launcher.
Campfire and s'mores- a great way to end an awesome day!
On Monday we went to the lake. Okay. So. I am always so happy on the water!! It was a most excellent day with our entire family.
I didn't want to get in because the water was FREEZING but the boys made me... they were so crazy on the tubes... I think Trevor is enjoying have some boys in the family.
Our trip ended when my dad split that log behind Jessica in half... with the boat. Whoops.
I love my family!! We are quite the unique group of indviduals but there is no one else I would rather have as my best friends.
Life is good.
<33 Amanda
